Operations Lead – Growing Business Opportunity
Take the lead in a growing business where operational excellence, teamwork, and sustainability drive everything they do. Consortium Professional Recruitment is partnering with a client to recruit an Operations Lead.
The Opportunity

This is a varied and hands-on role, coordinating daily operations, ensuring high-quality standards, and cultivating strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and partners. Key Responsibilities:
- Support operational planning to ensure safe, efficient, and effective daily activities.
- Coordinate inbound vessel movements, including scheduling, unloading, and communication with stakeholders.
- Monitor stock levels and optimise stock availability and turn.
- Build strong working relationships with external storage providers, suppliers, and contractors.
- Maintain accurate operational records and ensure compliance with industry regulations, FEMAS standards, and internal procedures.
- Monitor performance, identify improvements, and escalate issues as needed.
- Provide operational support and make informed decisions when covering for the Operations Manager.
- Contribute to maintaining exceptional standards and supporting business growth.

About You
An ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in operations, logistics, manufacturing, or terminal environments.
- A strong understanding of operational processes in a terminal or logistics setting.
- Organisational, planning, and coordination skills.
- Problem-solving skills with confidence in making informed decisions.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and perform under pressure.
- Good IT skills (e.g., business systems).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
