About us
Rivan Industries (Rivan.com) is a vertically integrated synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise industries that can’t be electrified.
Over the past 2 years, we’ve designed and manufactured a modular synthetic fuel plant consisting of a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor, vertically integrating with off-grid DC solar and the European gas-grid. We’ve recently deployed the UK’s largest synthetic fuel plant and are planning to 1000x this scale in the next 2 years. We now have clear line of sight to producing synthetic fuels cheaper than fossil over the next 5-10 years, becoming the first company in history to achieve this feat.
We’re looking for a Operations Lead (Talent and Partnerships) with the scar-tissue to build a world-class application generation and processing function, so we can meet our exponential manufacturing and deployment targets without compromising talent density.
We operate within tough boundary conditions and only hire the top 0.1% of engineers and operators from 10,000’s of applicants each year, so we need someone technically minded but operationally elite, who wants to take on the hardest challenges we face in scaling from 50-500 people.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
