We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Currys site in Newark. Working with the Senior Operations Manager, you will manage the flow of customer and supplier goods in and out of the warehouse with efficiency and care. Lead a team on shift, driving excellent service, quality standards, and full Health & Safety compliance. Collaborate with senior leadership to hit KPIs/SLAs, promote continuous improvement, and create a great place to work.
This is a full-time permanent role working 4 on 4 off starting at either 06:30 or 07:00 and finishing at 18:30 or 19:00, dependent on start time.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). - Lead and develop a team of up to 4 managers, driving performance across a workforce of up to 150 colleagues through engagement and enablement
- Deliver all operational, customer, and people KPIs while exceeding cost and financial targets within a shared budget
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards, managing stock loss and damage within agreed tolerances
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities that enhance customer experience, engagement, and financial performance
- Build a high-performing, inclusive culture by developing talent, strengthening cross-functional relationships, and positioning the business as an employer of choice
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience in a management role, leading large teams within a logistics or warehouse environment
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills, with a track record of delivering KPIs and SLAs
- Good analytical and decision-making ability, with customer focus and financial acumen (budgets, P&L)
- Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
