It’s driven by Operations Managers, who unite teams to deliver excellence in safety, quality, and productivity across our sites.

In this role, you’ll lead other managers and create the operational plan guiding your teams to meet targets. This position is about driving operational excellence to shape the Amazon of tomorrow.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers
  • Lead operational teams on shifts, address issues, and enhance site performance
  • analyse shift performance against business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security teams
  • Design and execute initiatives to boost operational performance across sites

A Day in the Life

You’ll lead shifts at an operational site, serving as the primary link between teams like Finance, Safety, and Operations Integration. This means you’ll be hands-on with day-to-day operations while contributing to innovation at your location.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About the Team

Customer Fulfilment (CF) is where Amazon began—back when it was just a team of booksellers. From humble beginnings, CF has grown into a globally scaled force handling over 1.5 million orders daily. The team underpins the company’s expansion into new regions and services, using cutting-edge technology to expand product ranges while ensuring fast, affordable delivery.

As the first link in the chain connecting customers to products, CF operates from Fulfilment Centres—also known as the ‘First Mile’—where Amazon packages begin their journey. These hubs manage dynamic inventory and ensure swift deliveries around the clock.

Opportunities exist for diverse skills, from physical product handling to data analytics, offering insights to drive smarter business decisions globally.
