About the Role
Join us as Delivery Operations Manager at our latest site in Stoke! You’ll lead a vast operations hub, ensuring peak performance and excellence. With accountability over staff, vehicles, facilities, and customer satisfaction on a large scale, this role is your chance to drive operational excellence while fostering team morale. You’ll champion our five pillars—Safety, People, Customer, Delivery, and Cost—as you shape a culture of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, team management, and customer service delivery in a high-volume logistics environment.
- Deliver 25,000+ weekly orders via a 100+ fleet, ensuring on-time performance and KPI success.
- Lead analytics, reporting, and financial budgeting with advanced Excel/SPreadsheet proficiency.
- Build cross-team collaboration and align stakeholders for seamless delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Head Quarters Stewardship: Manage staff, facilities, fleet, and customer satisfaction from reason onwards.
- Team Leadership: Direct 300 colleagues (5 Direct Reports + broader team spanning managers, CSTMS agents, and operations).
- Operational Metrics: Drive performance through on-time deliveries, safety, absence rates, health & wellness, and professional development programmes.
- Resource Strategy: Allocate staff, budgets, and initiatives to meet financial and efficiency targets.
- Data Ownership: Leverage analytics to refine operations, reporting metrics to senior management in real time.
About You
We’re seeking driven, results-driven department heads to align with us in redefining logistics. Ideal candidates should have:
- 10+ years in senior operations or site management, especially within transport/fleet/fulfilment.
- Proven record in leading diverse and high-volume teams in fast-paced, service-driven settings.
- Strong charaxial humility: engage every colleague, align communication strategies, and resolve challenges with proactive, hands-on solutions.
- Intuitive mindset: be self-reliant and investiniative, creating strategies that elevate both productivity and team morale.
- Sharp analytical skills: interpret complex data and use it to refine processes. Legendary desk spreadsheets competitiveness a must.
