Job Description
DP World are looking for an Operations Manager for an initial 12-month FTC during a period of growth and expansion to provide support across our operations including Burton upon Trent, Coventry and Bicester. This role will see you provide operational leadership support with a variety of projects, growth, new launches and general operational management activities. Due to this FTC you will need to be available at short notice and comfortable with travel around the Midlands
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the operational area in cooperation with the Supervisors and Team Leaders
- Ensure Quality control & improvements whilst meeting costs and contractual KPIs
- Implementing and enforcing all processes in the operations area, as well as monitoring compliance and adjusting when changes are needed.
- Responsible for the implementation and achievement of agreed targets in the operational area. Provide continuous improvement in operations processes. Monitoring targets, setting, and following up on actions in case of non-achievement of the set KPIs
- You will manage the development, monitoring and adherence to quality and productivity metrics on site alongside the QEHS Manager and Business Controller.
- You are the key contact person for all customer-specific issues related to operations.
- Responsible For Inventory & Admin Functions, Ensuring Controlled Cost In line with Budget.
- Leading site Continuous improvement agenda across Kaizens & JDI’s

What You Will Bring
- Proven relevant experience within a logistics background working as an Operations Manager or similar
- Skilled in leadership, communication and motivation
- Exposure with process improvements, projects or business launch would be highly advantageous
- Competent with Warehouse Management Systems and MS-Office
- Resilient and able to manage workloads in a fast paced and pressurised work environment
