About the Role
Impact Food Group (IFG) is looking for an experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of schools, supporting teams and ensuring exceptional food, service, and operational standards. This is a field-based role, requiring travel between multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
As the Regional Operations Manager, you’ll be instrumental in leading multiple school kitchens to drive outstanding results. Your responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating, and developing teams to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Monitoring and improving operational performance across assigned sites
- Ensuring compliance with food quality, hygiene, and regulatory standards
- Managing financial performance, including budgets and commercial contracts
- Supporting Chef Managers with recruitment, HR, and day-to-day operations
- Presenting data, reports, and insights to demonstrate operational success

Requirements & Fit for the Role
We’re seeking a self-motivated, resilient, and highly organised Operations Manager with experience in high-quality school catering. Key qualities include:
- Proven experience as an Area Manager or Operations Manager in contract or retail catering, managing at least 8 sites
- Strong ability to lead multi-site teams and demonstrate exceptional people management skills
- Confidence communicating effectively with kitchen teams and senior stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and presentations
- A passion for delivering fresh, contemporary food with unwavering commitment to service excellence
