Description

Team Overview:

The Decarb Modular Solutions team oversees the programming, procurement, planning, and execution of multiple offsite modular projects, including package plantrooms and MEP lateral and riser distribution modules. Working within our new state-of-the-art Modular Solutions facility, the team plays a key role in cross-functional delivery alongside our decarbonation business units.

Role Overview:

The Operations Manager will provide leadership and direction across the operational delivery of our Offsite Modular Solutions, having overall ownership and management of our mechanical, electrical, BMS, and offsite assembly teams, including management and resourcing of our subcontracted labor. They will be responsible for developing, mentoring, and growing our Decarb Modular Solutions team in line with current and future demand, optimizing and refining assembly operations and processes to align with programme, commercials, and demand. The successful candidate will manage cross-functional teams, foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They will provide leadership and governance as well as having visibility and input to commercial, engineering, design, quality, and logistical functions.

Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Mallusk

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm

Salary: Competitive Depending on Experience

Responsible to: Head of Operations


What You'll be Doing

  • Leading and developing the offsite operations team to meet current demand while preparing for future growth.
  • Providing operational guidance across design, engineering, planning, and quality functions to improve efficiency.
  • Recruiting and retaining skilled personnel across mechanical, electrical, BMS, and assembly teams.
  • Managing the Modular Solutions team and subcontracted labor to ensure projects are delivered on time, to a high standard, and aligned with programme requirements.
  • Implementing forecasting systems.
  • Establishing KPI-driven reporting.
  • Communicating operational performance to support strategic decisions.
  • Mentoring, training, and motivating staff.
  • Fostering strong collaboration across business units.
  • Driving continuous improvement through lean manufacturing, streamlined assembly processes, and investment in advanced technologies to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
