Operations Manager

Permanent Operations Manager

Location: Kinloss (covering Lossiemouth, Elgin, Kinloss, Inverness and Aberdeen) Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Join our vibrant, inclusive community in Complex Facilities working on Regional Accommodation Maintenance Service (RAMS) contracts as part of the MOD’s Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS). The RAMS contracts across Central and Northern England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland include responsive and planned preventative maintenance, as well as improvement and refurbishment projects for approximately 25,000 homes.

About the Role

We are seeking a career-focused Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of all Amey contractual outputs and manage the Supply Chain, ensuring:

  • All statutory, mandatory, and reactive performance indicators are consistently met within the area of responsibility.
  • Effective, compliant, and timely delivery of maintenance and response works adheres to statutory legislation, MoD Mandatory requirements, Health and Safety, and Environmental standards and policies.

Roles & Responsibilities

As Operations Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the operational delivery of Estate Management tasks, including planning, directing, and controlling activities.
  • Assess and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure they meet standards, occasionally acting as the Method Statement Coordinator.
  • Support end-users in developing new work requirements and facilitating formal Additional Works project submissions.
  • Coordinate site team activities, oversee safe working of skilled personnel, and ensure compliance with JSP 375 requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience managing and supervising teams in Construction, Property Maintenance, or related fields.
  • HNC qualification (or equivalent) in Building/Civil Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Management-level qualification in Health & Safety (e.g. SMSTS).
