Operations Manager
Lead delivery. Drive performance. Keep our operations moving safely and efficiently.
We’re looking for two experienced and proactive Operational Delivery Managers to join our team across the East Midlands network.
These are permanent, full time roles with a strong site and office presence, including travel across the network up to five days per week. The role also includes a standby requirement.

As an Operational Delivery Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading replacement and planned works across the network, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and compliantly.
You’ll work closely with operational teams, delivery partners, and stakeholders to drive high standards of performance, improve operational delivery, and support excellent customer outcomes.
This is a high impact leadership role with responsibility for operational performance, safety, and programme delivery across a complex and fast paced environment.
What you’ll be doing
Lead operational delivery & programme execution
- Lead replacement and planned works across the network
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements
Oversee planning & performance
- Manage planning, design, and execution activities
- Work closely with internal teams and delivery partners to ensure effective scheduling and resourcing
Manage risk & ensure compliance
- Monitor operational performance and compliance activities
- Identify risks, resolve issues, and act as a key escalation point
Promote safety & operational excellence
- Ensure compliance with CDM, NRSWA, and health & safety regulations
- Promote a strong safety culture across teams and contractors

Experience
- Strong experience in operational management within utilities, construction, or infrastructure environments
- Experience managing operational delivery, programme performance, and risk
- Experience working within regulated environments is beneficial
- Strong understanding of Safe Control of Operations with Authorising Engineer at SCO4 / SCO 5 Desirable
Skills
- Strong understanding of CDM, NRSWA, and health & safety regulations
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong problem solving and operational decision making capability
- Ability to drive improvements and manage operational performance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
