Operations Manager

Job Summary
As Operations Manager, you will lead and manage a team of Regional Managers dedicated to supporting State Street’s account, ensuring collaborative working with the facilities management (FM) delivery team. Responsibilities include:
- Aligning team members with industry best practice to deliver superior client service
- Implementing standardised procedures while driving continuous improvement
- Providing governance and strategic oversight to ensure adherence to the Master Services Agreement
- Managing operational activities, reports, and compliance

- Serve as the primary strategic support for the Account Director
- Align operational activities with contractual and client objectives

Client Service & Performance
- Ensure fully managed client reporting activities and contract compliance
- Measure and report contract performance against strategic targets
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery through targeted milestones
Team & Talent Management
- Set and manage clear, measurable objectives for the team
- Oversee managing talent, including recruitment, training, and performance reviews
- Lead by example in vendor relationships, fostering high-calibre partnerships
Contract & Compliance
- Guarantee full adherence to legal, risk, and operational compliance
- Mitigate State Street CBRE debt and ensure minimised vendor financial risk
Technical & Platform Optimization
- Maximise CBRE’s technology platforms to enhance operational efficiencies
- Drive advancements in account platform performance
- Regularly update account playbooks to reflect evolving requirements
Infrastructure & Functional Management
- Provide daily management of operations and financial infrastructure
- Ensure all functional leaders align to hybrid CBRE-client priorities
Key Skills & Requirements
Core Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a COO, Senior Facilities Manager, or related senior operational role within blue-chip corporations or professional service firms
- Proven track record in corporate real estate management or facilities management
- Procurement experience is mandatory

Technical Skills & Leadership
- Highly organised with an ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and operate under pressure
- Demonstrable team management experience, ideally in large or international contexts
- H&S or Energy Management experience is advantageous (preferable)
- Successful change programme delivery background deemed merit
Soft Skills
- Strong people management, mentorship, and strategic planning capabilities
- Exceptional stakeholder communications, negotiation, and collaboration skills
