Operations Manager

Company: FlightStory

Reporting To: Head of Product & Ecommerce

Location: London

About FlightStory

We are a media and investment company, and we are on a mission to elevate the stories, build the communities, and support the founders that inspire a happier, healthier humanity. We scale creator-led media, ventures, and communities.

Role Mission

Own the end-to-end operational delivery of The Diary of a CEO / Behind The Diary product ecosystem, ensuring products are sourced, launched, delivered, and replenished effectively to support both launches and ongoing growth.

This role sits across ecommerce operations, supply chain, merchandising, buying, and product delivery. You will be responsible for managing suppliers, overseeing stock and inventory planning, coordinating operational timelines, and ensuring products move from concept through to launch smoothly and efficiently.

Acting as the operational owner across the product function, you will balance commercial performance, customer demand, operational efficiency, and delivery execution - helping maximise revenue while minimising operational risk.

You will work closely with the Head of Product & Ecommerce to bring new products to market, owning operational readiness, supply planning, inventory management, and launch execution.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-growing business, with the opportunity to help build and scale the operations and supply chain function as the product ecosystem expands.

Key Outcomes

  • Own stock and inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels across all products while minimising stockouts and overstock risk.
  • Manage replenishment cycles and stock continuity to maintain availability of best-selling products while controlling excess inventory.
  • Build accurate, data-led demand forecasts based on sales trends, marketing activity, and launch plans to inform buying and supply decisions.
  • Source, onboard, and manage suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring quality, reliability, and strong commercial terms.
  • Support buying and range planning by ensuring products are sourced, costed, and ordered in line with demand and commercial objectives.
  • Own product development and operational delivery timelines from concept through to launch, coordinating across product, creative, suppliers, and operations teams.
  • Improve end-to-end operational and supply chain efficiency across production, logistics, fulfilment, and ecommerce operations.
  • Ensure all launches are operationally ready with the right stock levels, planning, and delivery timelines in place.
  • Monitor and optimise margins through cost control, supplier negotiation, and operational efficiencies.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, ecommerce, growth, and creative teams to ensure seamless execution.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
