Operations Manager A hands-on leadership role at the heart of specialist vehicle manufacturing. If you want to own the full operation—production planning, supply chain, facilities, and a team of people who build something genuinely unusual—this is worth exploring.

About Flexi Narrow Aisle

Flexi Narrow Aisle designs and manufactures specialist narrow aisle forklift trucks—custom industrial equipment vital for warehouses and logistics worldwide. Based in Tipton, West Midlands, every vehicle is tailored to precise client specifications in an engineering-led production environment, ensuring every team member understands the impact and intricacy of their work.

The Role

You’ll report to the Head of Operations and take ownership of end-to-end manufacturing operations, working directly with a Production Manager and a Planning and Quality Manager. Unlike a traditional office role, this is hands-on factory leadership—expect a dynamic shift between strategy and execution, ensuring targets are met, quality is delivered, and safety and culture never become afterthoughts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations across the specialist vehicle workshop
  • Own production planning from order intake through to final delivery, including:
    • Workflow sequencing and resource allocation
    • Build scheduling and operational forecasting
  • Oversee OEM procurement—negotiate suppliers, ensure material availability and align with production plans
  • Optimise workshop performance, including:
    • Facility layout changes
    • Equipment uptime and preventative maintenance
    • Compliance adherence
  • Monitor quality and build progress, resolving bottlenecks instantly to uphold standards
  • Drive continuous improvement, fostering a team culture that prioritises innovation and education
  • Manage operational budgets, identifying and implementing cost-efficient solutions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
