Operations Manager - PM Shift
Role: Operations Manager - PM Shift Location: Mercia Park Time Type: Full Time Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 1200-2000 | 37.5 hours per week

What will you be responsible for?
Manage inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics while ensuring seamless receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Operational leadership: Direct warehouse operations, ensuring 24/7 compliance with Health & Safety, Group Audit standards, and Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes.
- Cost control: Monitor operational costs against budgets, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Resource and planning: Schedule staff levels to adapt to seasonal and volume fluctuations while supporting recruitment and retention.
- Team development: Mentor warehouse team leaders, providing performance feedback and coaching.
- Stakeholder relations: Build strong relationships with retail partners and internal teams, communicating business priorities effectively.
- Continuous improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and performance.
- Performance management: Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), regularly review performance, and foster a high-performance culture.

About you
We’re looking for a seasoned leader with a proven track record in logistics and operations. If this sounds like you, check your experience against our requirements:
- Relevant senior management experience (minimum 5+ years) in warehouse operations or logistics.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with experience in cost control and budget management.
- Exceptional communication and leadership—able to influence stakeholders and drive change.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse processes and WMS systems (e.g., SAP, WarehouseXpress).
- A track record of developing high-performing teams and resolving employee relations matters.
- Confident decision-maker with laser-like attention to detail.
- Advanced skills in IT and data management, particularly spreadsheets (Excel), databases, and warehouse technology.
