Operations Manager

About the Team

As an Operations Manager, you’ll work directly with our Senior Operations Manager and be responsible for delivering successful shifts. Your focus will be on fostering a skilled, motivated team so that our customers’ boxes are packed perfectly every time.

We’re looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • Experience in developing top talent within the industry

What You Will Be Doing

  • Oversee end-to-end operations: Manage the receipt of products through to production and dispatch of customer boxes
  • Lead a team of Shift Managers and Team Leaders, driving shift performance and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with KPIs for:
    • Health and safety
    • Quality
    • Food safety
    • Team culture
  • Resolve issues dynamically to minimise impact on shift performance and customer experience
  • Develop and empower the operational team across multiple report layers
  • Initiate innovative projects across areas such as:
    • Customer experience
    • Waste management
    • Lean production
  • Shape the Hellofresh employer brand, including recruiting future talent

Who You Are

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • Operations background (preferably with experience managing large indirect teams in high-performing environments)
  • Experience using warehouse management systems
  • Strong adaptability to fast-paced, rapidly changing settings
  • An ability to lead from the front and develop teams to exceed expectations
  • Proven skills in:
    • Motivating direct reports, peers, and supporting functions
    • Engaging stakeholders and making logical, effective decisions
  • Exceptional communication and decision-making abilities
  • Energy, commitment, and flexibility (with a "can-do" attitude)
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Health and safety in warehouse/production environments
    • Food hygiene standards
    • Automated operations (experience is beneficial)

Location: Spondon, Derby

Working Schedule: Rotating Wednesday to Saturday shifts (days and nights, every 3 months, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM)
