Operations Manager
Location: South Wales

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business in South Wales. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, and leading a high-performing production team.
This position is ideal for a commercially minded operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets are achieved.
- Manage and develop production, planning, and operational teams to deliver high performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, health and safety, and legislative requirements.
- Monitor and improve KPIs relating to output, waste, labour, service levels, and operational performance.
- Work collaboratively with Planning, Engineering, Technical, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.
- Support budget management and cost control across the operation.
- Develop a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and overall operational performance.
- Champion customer service by ensuring products are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.

About You
- Proven leadership experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production, operational, and people management.
- Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially aware with the ability to balance quality, cost, and service.
- Confident analyzing operational data and implementing improvements.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, quality, and health & safety standards.
- A proactive, hands-on leader who enjoys developing high-performing teams.
