Operations Manager, AMZL - Delivery Station

Operations Manager - Delivery Station (Amazon)

Operations is the beating heart of Amazon. This key part of our business ensures we fulfil and dispatch orders efficiently so that customers receive their items on time. Driven by Operations Managers, we focus on delivering excellence in safety, quality, and productivity across our sites. In this role, you’ll lead managers, shape the operational plan, and push for continuous improvement to build the Amazon of tomorrow.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers
  • Own site operations, resolve issues, and drive performance improvements
  • Analyse site metrics against business objectives and implement strategies to enhance operational excellence
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including:
    • PxT (HR)
    • Finance
    • Delivery Service Partners (DSP)
    • IT
    • Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES)
    • Engineering units
  • Design and deliver initiatives that boost operational efficiency across sites

A Day in the Life

You’ll take full accountability for an entire Delivery Station, leading teams, tracking performance, and improving the customer experience. Your responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with stakeholders to align goals
  • Deep-diving into performance and risk metrics
  • Preparing for fluctuating demand (e.g., peak seasons)
  • Coaching and mentoring your team to drive top-tier results

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong English-language communication (written & verbal)
  • Proven experience in developing and managing high-performing teams
  • Data-driven decision-making (analytical skills)
  • Experience in transportation or supply chain within a high-volume logistics, manufacturing, or engineering environment
  • A degree or relevant leadership experience in stakeholder management
