Operations Manager – UK Roles
Alchem Partners
Our client is an industry-leading expert, part of a £multi-million, global business with sites worldwide. We’re retaining Alchem Partners to source an experienced Operations Manager to lead a multi-disciplined team based in the UK.
The Operations Manager will:
- Oversee UK-based site operations and manage a smaller network of regional sites
- Lead process improvements, operational efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives
- Mentor and develop multi-disciplined teams (operations, engineering, logistics, customer service, and management/supervisory roles)
- Align team efforts with the company’s values, mission, vision, and strategic growth
Key Responsibilities
Within this role, you will:
- Ensure compliant and smooth day-to-day operations, including engineering and discrete functions
- Resolve complex customer service issues efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining quality
- Drive continuous improvement and cost optimisation while upholding exceptional customer care
- Control and create departmental budgets, ensuring strategic financial oversight
- Represent the division in regional and managerial meetings
- Oversee recruitment, induction, and staff retention

Requirements & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in a technical or commercial discipline (Chemical, Process Manufacturing, FMCG, or similar)
- Proven operational leadership experience in a process-driven industry
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- A track record in continuous improvement and operational efficiency enhancement
- Experience managing and mentoring cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, logistics, customer service)
- A customer-centric focus, with an understanding of sales and service dynamics
