Operations Manager

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire

Salary: £50,000 + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join a leading logistics and supply chain operation in Corby. This role is ideal for a proven operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving performance, developing teams, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for leading the day-to-day operation, ensuring high standards of safety, service, productivity, and engagement are consistently achieved. You will play a key role in developing operational strategy, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage warehouse operations to ensure customer expectations and operational KPIs are consistently delivered.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor frontline management teams to maximise performance and employee engagement.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company standards.
  • Monitor and manage operational performance through data analysis and KPI reporting.
  • Manage resource planning and labour utilisation to meet operational demands.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support business growth, operational change, and customer-led initiatives.
  • Deliver operational excellence across inbound, outbound, and inventory functions.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, or similar leadership position within logistics, warehousing, distribution, e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or 3PL environments.
  • Experience leading large teams through a management structure.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, performance management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrable success in delivering operational KPIs and driving productivity improvements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A hands-on leadership style with a passion for developing people and achieving results.
