Operations Manager

Remote (UK) | Future Hybrid (Oxford)
£45,000–£55,000 + Benefits + International Travel

Build the operational backbone of an innovative business transforming the future of clean technology.

Not every Operations Manager role is about maintaining existing processes. Some are about building them.

Our client is an ambitious, international technology business operating at the intersection of engineering, biotechnology and sustainable energy. Following continued growth, they're looking to appoint an Operations Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping how the business operates as it scales internationally.

Reporting directly to the President of Operations, you'll become one of the key people responsible for creating the systems, processes and operational infrastructure that support a growing global organisation.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership naturally and gets genuine satisfaction from making businesses run more efficiently.

The Opportunity

This is a broad, hands-on operational role where you'll work across multiple business functions rather than sitting within a single department.

You'll have responsibility across:

  • International Logistics
  • Procurement & Supplier Management
  • IT Coordination
  • Operational Systems
  • SharePoint & Document Management
  • Compliance
  • Health & Safety Support

Some areas you'll own from day one, whilst others you'll develop alongside senior leadership as the business continues to grow.

If you enjoy solving problems, improving processes and building operational excellence, this role offers genuine autonomy and long-term progression.

Key Responsibilities

International Logistics

Take ownership of the company's international shipping operations, ensuring products, equipment and materials move efficiently across multiple countries.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing relationships with global logistics providers including DHL, FedEx and other international carriers
  • Setting up and maintaining freight and courier accounts
  • Coordinating domestic and international shipments
  • Monitoring deliveries and proactively resolving customs or import/export issues
  • Developing scalable shipping processes for the wider business
  • Supporting expansion into new international markets through customs and logistics planning

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes and taking ownership.

You'll be naturally organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
