About the Company
Our client is an established and accredited Independent Connections Provider (ICP), specialising in the electrical design, installation, and commissioning of LV and HV systems up to 132kV. With over a decade in the industry and a highly experienced team of qualified electricians, fitters, and engineers, they deliver substation builds, extensions, and cable route projects for major clients including National Grid and SSEN.
The business is on a clear growth trajectory and is currently working towards achieving Tier 1 contractor status - this is a pivotal moment to join and help shape that journey.
The Opportunity
This is a newly created senior leadership role, brought about by growth. The current Director has been personally managing day-to-day operations alongside their director-level responsibilities, and is now looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take full ownership of that function - freeing up leadership to focus on strategic growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
