Operations Manager

Davenfive is a UK-based intralogistics and warehouse automation partner supporting projects across the UK and EU. The company delivers installation, integration, and operational support for warehouse infrastructure, robotics, racking, safety systems, and automation technologies. Davenfive works on new developments, facility expansions, and live operational environments, managing projects from initial site preparation through installation, commissioning, and operational go-live. The team specializes in AMR and robotic system installation, system integration, configuration, QR-code floors, material handling, and comprehensive site support services. From safety and traffic management systems to visual management solutions, Davenfive provides experienced supervision and post-installation support to ensure reliable, high-quality outcomes in modern warehouse environments.
Role Description
The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day activities across warehouse installation and automation projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely delivery of services. This full-time, on-site role based in the United Kingdom includes planning and coordinating project schedules, supervising site teams, and managing resources to maintain programme efficiency and site readiness. The Operations Manager will monitor operational performance, implement process improvements, and ensure compliance with safety standards and client requirements. Responsibilities include liaising with customers and partners, resolving operational issues, supporting commissioning and ramp-up phases, and preparing regular status reports and documentation. The role also involves supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to best practices across intralogistics and warehouse automation operations.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong operations and project management skills, including resource planning, scheduling, and coordination in warehouse or industrial environments.
- Candidates should possess experience with intralogistics, warehouse automation, robotics, or material handling systems, ideally including installation and commissioning activities.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of health and safety practices, risk assessment, and compliance standards relevant to warehouse and construction-like environments.
- Candidates should possess effective leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise site teams, contractors, and technical staff.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in client-facing roles and cross-functional collaboration.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage issues on live sites and drive continuous improvement.
- Relevant experience in operations management, logistics, or engineering within warehouse or automation projects is highly beneficial.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in operations management, engineering, logistics, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications in project or safety management are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in the United Kingdom, with flexibility to visit customer locations across the UK and EU as needed.
