About the Role
We’re seeking an Operations Manager (Merchant Capital, Packaging & Partnerships) to join our London-based, hybrid team. In this role, you’ll become the operational pillar for Capital, Packaging, and Partnerships, helping build and scale high-performing solutions for merchants.
Key Responsibilities
Main Focus Areas
You’ll split your time across:
- Deliveroo Capital Operations (60% dialled in)
- Drive end-to-end operations:
- Oversee merchant onboarding, partner coordination, and SLA monitoring.
- Manage reconciliation with third-party partners.
- Lead originations and merchant sales workflows from lead tracking to onboarding, including NPS data collection, analysis, and feedback loops.
- Leverage analytics & data to:
- Identify operational bottlenecks via SQL and data diagnostics.
- Generate weekly/monthly performance updates for leadership.
- Collaborate with Wolt and DoorDash Capital teams to align cross-border processes and foster group-wide Capital growth.

- Packaging (25%) & Partnerships Operations (15%)
- Commercial packaging:
- Manage vendor/partner relationships for the Shopify webstore, including supplier coordination.
- Track operational partner performance and ensure SLA adherence.
- Strategic partnerships:
- Oversee partner onboarding, contract renewals, and performance reporting.
- Lead Go-To-Market (GTM) operations for new partnerships.
- Develop scalable playbooks to support operational consistency across markets.
- Commercial packaging:
What You’ll Need
Essentials
✅ Strategic operations experience – Proven success in programme/commercial operations (targeting a fast-paced marketplace, fintech, or B2B environment). ✅ Data-driven problem-solving – Ability to structure complex challenges, track trends, and apply SQL/analytics to operational KPIs. ✅ Process design – Track record of building scalable workflows in uncertain or fast-evolving environments. ✅ Cross-functional leadership – Experience collaborating with product, engineering, finance, legal, and external partners while maintaining ownership. ✅ Execution & communication – Balance details with big-picture thinking, translating operational complexities into clear, concise leadership insights.
Nice to Have
👉 Industry-specific know-how – Prior experience in merchant lending, SMB finance, embedded finance, or shared data platform management.
