Job Summary

Overseeing and leading the company's day-to-day operational functions to ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective processes across warehousing, logistics, inventory, and customer service. You play a key role in maintaining the company's operational standards, working collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and service providers.

Operational excellence, strong organisational ability, and a hands-on approach will guide your daily activities, supporting the company's strategic goals through structured process management. Ensuring that stock is controlled, customers are supported, and health and safety practices are maintained.

You will work across the full supply chain, from inbound freight to outbound fulfilment, contributing directly to customer satisfaction, stock integrity, warehouse management, and overall business efficiency.

Key Skills And Qualifications

  • Strong background in e-commerce fulfilment and inventory control
  • Ability to organise daily workflows and make practical decisions under pressure
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and courier portals
  • Excellent organisational skills with a focus on process efficiency
  • Clear and effective communication skills for coordinating with the wider operations team and couriers
  • Physically fit and willing to undertake occasional manual warehouse work alongside the team
  • Forklift licence (stacker, counterbalance or reach)

Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Oversee stock intake and dispatch processes, maintaining clear records and reconciliation
  • Coordinate and monitor Amazon FBA inventory, shipments, and stock planning
  • Maintain freight operations, including booking, tracking, and compliance
  • Work closely with the product and sales teams to forecast demand and avoid stockouts or overstock

Warehouse Operations

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring timely dispatch and order fulfilment
  • Implement and maintain efficient systems for stock handling, space management, and workflow
  • Lead and manage the warehouse team, providing direction, support, and performance oversight
  • Undertake occasional manual warehouse work alongside the team to support peak periods, inventory counts, or staff shortages
  • Coordinate with couriers, freight partners, and service providers to ensure timely and competitive logistics

Customer Service

  • Manage and lead the Customer Service department, ensuring the team delivers timely, professional, and high-quality communication
  • Monitor service standards and performance metrics across all channels, identifying areas for improvement
  • Handle complex escalations and step in to manage day-to-day support operations directly during peak periods or staff shortages
  • Review support data and trends to recommend and implement strategic process enhancements

Housekeeping & Compliance

  • Ensure health and safety standards are met across warehouse and operations areas
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment, in line with company policy
  • Conduct regular checks and reviews of facilities, equipment, and procedures
  • Stay up to date with operational compliance requirements, including training where necessary

Experience And Requirements

  • Warehouse experience: 3 years (Required)
  • E-commerce fulfilment experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Stacker truck license: Preferred
  • Linnworks software experience: Preferred
  • Language: English (Required)
  • Work authorisation: United Kingdom (Required)
