Operations Manager, Planning & Performance – Rider Supply

Location: London (Hybrid role) Parent Team: Commercial → Planning & Performance

Join us as we transform how people shop and eat, driving impact, innovation, and growth. Our Commercial team sits at the heart of Deliveroo’s marketplace, shaping partnerships, unlocking revenue streams, and crafting data-led strategies. In this Operations Manager role, you’ll work on defining the future of our courier network, ensuring scalability, stability, and performance across global markets.

About the Role

You’ll lead operational improvements across our courier lifecycle, from onboarding to retention. This is a hybrid role, blending fast-paced commercial demands with the tools and influence needed to move the business forward.

At Deliveroo (now part of DoorDash), we solve real-world challenges with a mission-driven mindset. Your work will directly improve riders’ experiences and reduce churn while maintaining optimal courier supply—balancing availability with stable CSAT and performance metrics.

What You’ll Be Doing

Operational Excellence & Lifecycle Management

  • Improve courier experience post-onboarding, reducing friction and accelerating delivery quality through:
    • Data-driven engagement & retention frameworks
    • Automation of high-tțional tasks (e.g., productivity prompts, monitoring platforms)
    • Evidence-based iteration to test and refine operational strategies

Data-Driven Strategy

  • Serve as a technical bridge for your team, using:
    • SQL to analyse large datasets
    • Complex problem-solving frameworks to structure ambiguity
    • Actionable insights to inform prioritisation and operational changes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
