Job Description - Operations Manager
T&M Group Ltd | T&M Facilities Ltd | T&M Engineering Solutions Ltd
About the Role
We are seeking a high-calibre Operations Manager to play a pivotal leadership role in driving the next phase of growth across T&M Group.
Reporting directly to the Directors, this position is central to shaping operational strategy, delivering sustainable profitability, and building a scalable, high-performing platform across a diverse portfolio including construction, engineering, utilities, and facilities services.
This is a senior leadership role with significant influence over business performance, structure, and long-term growth.
Your Impact
Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Align operational performance with long-term business planning and value creation
- Lead site teams, plan works effectively and manage workloads to ensure efficient delivery
Commercial & Financial Leadership
- Lead the development, implementation, and management of operational budgets across all divisions, follow budget forecasts and explain variances
- Drive financial performance through forecasting, cost control, and margin improvement
- Work closely with directors
- Manage programme of tendering, pricing strategy, and commercial risk management

Procurement & Supply Chain Leadership
- Assist directors where relevant with procurement and supply chain strategies across supplier, contractors and subcontractors
- Lead procurement and supply chain strategy across suppliers, subcontractors, and materials
- Maintain strong, resilient supply chain partnerships to ensure quality, value, and reliability
- Assisting and maintaining purchasing governance, supplier performance, and cost efficiency
Operational Excellence at Scale
- Build and lead a high-performing operational structure capable of supporting sustained growth and quality management
- Implement systems, processes, and controls to drive efficiency, consistency, and scalability
- Ensure and monitor delivery excellence that supports long-term client relationships and repeat business
Leadership & Culture
- Develop and lead a strong team / teams
- Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continual improvement
- Drive workforce planning and organisational capability aligned to meet existing and future needs of the business
Project management
Health & Safety and compliance
- Ensure the highest standards of health & safety, compliance, and operational governance
- Champion a proactive safety culture across all operations
- Maintain and promote best practice standards
- Develop and maintain registers deemed mandatory for compliance, e.g site & operational risk registers
- Ongoing contribution, testing and monitoring of business continuity plans implemented

Stakeholder & Client Leadership
- Act as a point of contact for key clients and strategic partners
- Prioritise strong customer relationships as a core business driver
- Enhance client satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnerships

Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £38,000 – £44,000 per annum
- Core hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:30
- Company-provided works vehicle

- 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
