### Operations Manager Location: East Kilbride, Glasgow Salary: £50,000 – £60,000

With over 50 skilled craftspeople, a King’s Award for Innovation, and a client list spanning every major Scottish whisky producer, this is a business that has earned its reputation—and is now ready to push further.
This is a senior hire with a clear pathway to the Operations Director role. If you are looking for a role where you can genuinely shape a business, this is it.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of production, from confirmed design through to quality-approved finished product
- Lead teams across Engraving, Print, Clean Room, Plating, and Paint, managing ~45 people
- Collaborate with warehousing, Sales, and Commercial to ensure seamless delivery ofCustomer promises
- Oversee high-volume glass printing, engraving, electroplating, paint mixing, cork lasering, and custom container assembly
- Drive site improvements, enhance Health & Safety (H&S) standards, and introduce automation and smarter workflows
- Work closely with Research & Development to maintain and elevate quality standards
- Embed a ‘right-first-time’ culture with precision at every stage
- Represent the business with authority in front of high-calibre clients and at board level

About the Environment
The production floor is a technically rich and varied operation, covering:
- High-volume glass printing and engraving
- Liquid and electroplating
- Cork lasering
- Custom container assembly Every order is unique, and the standard is luxury—not just good enough. Understanding print, precision manufacturing, packaging, and decoration—and how processes interact—is critical.

Career Progression
Our client is investing heavily in the future of their manufacturing. As Operations Manager, you will:
- Lead the evaluation and introduction of new technologies, from automation and laser-led processes to end-to-end workflow improvements
- Work closely with Research & Development to implement technical ideas
- Have a clear pathway to the Operations Director role—with a board seat within two years
What You’ll Need
Technical & Operational Expertise
✔ A senior Operations or Production Manager with deep technical experience across multi-process manufacturing ✔ Strong understanding of print, packaging, precision manufacturing, or decorative production (experience in plastics, paper, carton print, or branded goods is highly relevant) ✔ Hands-on knowledge of plating, paint processes, or similar finishing techniques (desirable) ✔ Glassware or crystal experience (not essential, but industry calibre is key)
