Job Description
DP World are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager – Technical / Repair to join our site in Coventry. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading the technical and repair operational area, driving performance against key quality, productivity and customer service metrics. This is a critical leadership role focused on delivering time-sensitive repair solutions, operational excellence, continuous improvement and ensuring customer requirements are achieved within a 24-hour SLA.
Working closely with internal teams, customers and site leadership, you will play a key role in driving process improvements, managing change initiatives and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery and operational performance.
How You Will Contribute
- Lead the Technical / Repair operational area in collaboration with Supervisors and Team Leaders
- Drive quality improvements whilst ensuring operational costs, productivity targets and customer KPIs are achieved
- Manage customer repair requirements within agreed SLAs, ensuring effective delivery in a time-critical environment
- Implement, monitor and improve operational processes, ensuring compliance and continuous optimisation
- Monitor performance against key metrics, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing corrective actions where required
- Work closely with the QEHS Manager, Business Controller and wider site teams to deliver quality, productivity and cost improvements
- Act as the key contact for customer-related operational issues and support customer-driven changes and improvement initiatives
- Lead continuous improvement activities using Lean methodologies and structured problem-solving techniques
- Manage and develop a team of direct and indirect reports, promoting engagement, accountability and high performance
- Ensure all activities are completed in line with Health & Safety requirements, company values and the DP World Code of Conduct

What You Will Bring
- Previous management experience within a technical, engineering, manufacturing, logistics or supply chain environment
- Strong understanding of repair operations, quality systems and operational improvement practices
- Experience leading teams and delivering performance against challenging targets and KPIs
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies, problem solving and continuous improvement techniques
- Experience working within automotive, manufacturing, technical or logistics environments is desirable
- Competent user of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), SAP and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Results-driven with a proactive approach to problem solving and delivering improvements
