Operations Manager – B2B Events✨

📍Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office)
💵Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join a leading international B2B events organiser. This role will focus on delivering a portfolio of global conferences and exhibitions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing complex international events, and takes pride in delivering exceptional experiences from planning through to onsite execution.

The role offers a hybrid working model, international travel, and the opportunity to work on globally recognised events alongside a collaborative and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities🗝️

  • Manage the operational delivery of 4–6 international conferences and exhibitions from planning through to completion.
  • Oversee event budgets, forecasting and financial tracking to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Develop detailed event timelines and coordinate project delivery across multiple stakeholders.
  • Source, negotiate and manage contracts with venues and key suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, venues and service providers.
  • Produce exhibitor manuals and ensure all technical information is communicated accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate exhibitor and sponsor fulfilment, ensuring all contracted deliverables are executed to a high standard.
  • Design and manage exhibition floorplans, event signage and printed materials.
  • Lead all health and safety planning, including risk assessments and event documentation.
  • Work closely with production, marketing, sales and finance teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Travel internationally to oversee onsite event operations, including occasional evenings and weekends.

About You

You'll be an experienced event operations professional with a proven track record of delivering international conferences and exhibitions. You'll be highly organised, commercially aware and confident managing multiple projects simultaneously.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience delivering international B2B conferences and exhibitions.
  • Strong budget management and forecasting experience.
  • Knowledge of venue contracts and supplier negotiations.
  • Experience managing exhibition floorplans and feature builds.
  • Understanding of onsite health and safety requirements, with an IOSH qualification desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working across cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding events.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally and work additional hours during live events when required.
