Operations Manager – London (Dartford) Branch

About the Role
We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team in our London (Dartford) Branch, working closely with the Branch Manager to drive growth.
This role is critical to ensuring the branch meets or exceeds financial and operational targets. As the Operations Manager, you will:
- Lead efforts to enhance branch performance.
- Support the Branch Manager in absence, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Promote health and safety as a core priority, reducing risks for employees and the business.
- Lead by example, fostering a strong team spirit and delivering exceptional service.
You will require experience in team leadership and a deep understanding of company administration, quality assurance, and health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure full legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities
The day-to-day duties include:
- Health & Safety Leadership
- Work closely with the Branch Manager, branch staff, and SHEQ Department to minimise workplace risks.
- Enforce compliance with training, policies, and regulations.

Operational Oversight
- Ensure effective hire desk operations in collaboration with the Territory Manager & Solution Teams.
- Maintain professional service standards at all times.

Financial & Strategic Support
- Assist in achieving planned profits and ROI% through cost control and pricing strategies.
- Work with the Workshop Manager/Team to deliver maintenance and repairs efficiently.

Performance Monitoring & Development
- Review branch performance against KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Support the Branch Manager in developing and motivating direct staff.

Customer Compliance
- Prepare monthly KPI reports for Framework customers, adhering to deadlines.
⚠️ Note: This role will require participation in an on-call rota.
Qualifications & Experience
We are seeking a motivated individual with:
- Leadership & Team Management
- Experience in supervising or leading a team, with proven skills in coaching, motivating, and engagement.
- Soft Skills & Adaptability
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to listen constructively.
- Strong vision for growth, adaptability, and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
- Organisational & Time Management
- Highly organised with efficient time prioritisation skills.
- Technical & IT Proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for data analysis.
- Travel & Flexibility
- Willingness to travel within territory and across the UK as required.
