About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations & Network Coordinator to play a pivotal role at the heart of NNECL. This is a varied and rewarding position supporting almost every aspect of the organisation, from membership services and communications to events, governance, projects, finance and organisational operations. Working closely with the Executive Director and Programme Manager, you will help ensure the smooth and effective running of NNECL while contributing to the delivery of our strategic priorities.

This is not a traditional administration role. It offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of a growing national charity, take ownership of key organisational functions, and develop new skills and responsibilities as the organisation continues to grow. As part of a small, ambitious core team, you will have the opportunity to shape how we work, improve processes, and contribute to a wide range of organisational initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role requires someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is comfortable adapting to changing priorities. No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving problems, and wants to make a meaningful contribution across the organisation.

We are looking for someone who is keen to make a long-term commitment to the role, becoming a valued member of our team as NNECL continues to grow and develop.

About You

You are an experienced, organised and proactive professional who enjoys working in a varied role and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You communicate confidently and with warmth, patience and respect with a wide range of people, build positive relationships and are comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion. You are comfortable using digital systems and learning new ways of working.

You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change. You take ownership of your work and are equally comfortable working independently or as part of a small, collaborative team. You are confident working remotely, understand the realities of a growing not-for-profit organisation, use resources wisely and are committed to helping NNECL deliver the greatest possible impact for care-experienced and estranged learners.

  • Experience of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is essential.
  • Experience using CRM databases or similar digital systems is desirable.
  • We welcome applicants who are confident learning new platforms and ways of working.

This role may suit an experienced administrator, someone returning to work after a career break, or someone seeking a better work-life balance while continuing to develop their skills and experience.

We are particularly interested in applicants who want to grow their career with us, contribute to a growing charity and make a meaningful difference through their work.

Accessible Recruitment

We want our recruitment process to be accessible and welcoming to everyone. We are happy to make reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process, including at interview, and encourage applicants to let us know what support they need. To support candidates to prepare, we share interview questions in advance of interviews.

If you would like to have an informal conversation about the role before applying, or if you have any questions, please email us.

Inclusion and Belonging

We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and able to thrive. We welcome applications from disabled people, people with long-term health conditions, neurodivergent people, people with care experience, people returning to the workplace, older candidates, and people from all backgrounds and experiences. We recognise that people bring different perspectives, skills, experiences and ways of working, and we value the contribution that each colleague makes to our organisation. We are committed to removing barriers wherever possible and creating an environment where people can do their best work. We welcome conversations about reasonable adjustments and support needs throughout the recruitment process and during employment.

Feedback

We know through this recruitment process we will meet many people who we would like to employ, sadly we can only hire one person. However, we do commit to responding to everyone who applies for the job, and we are happy to give feedback on applications and interviews. Over the years we have supported many people who we didn’t employ, into other roles.

We are looking forward to reading your application.
