Job Description Here's a job description for an Operations Officer at United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd: Operations Officer Job Summary The Operations Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of banking processes. This individual will be responsible for supporting various operational functions to maintain service quality and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Job Responsibilities * Execute and monitor daily banking transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. * Process customer requests, inquiries, and complaints efficiently, escalating complex issues as needed. * Perform reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly. * Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to mitigate operational risks. * Assist in the preparation of operational reports and documentation for management review. * Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency. * Participate in system testing and upgrades to ensure smooth implementation and functionality. * Support audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Job Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. * Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in banking operations or a similar role, preferably within a financial institution. * Strong understanding of banking products, services, and operational processes. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data processing and reconciliation. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Good communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. * Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the Malaysian banking industry is an advantage.
