Operation Officer (Lifeguard) – (Ref: OO)
Salary: £26,582.40 p.a.
Location: Laura Trott Leisure Centre, John Warner Sports Centre
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week.
DBS check: Enhanced

If you are a competent swimmer who enjoys working in a sporting environment and are looking to develop a career in the leisure industry, this could be the perfect opportunity. As an Operations Officer/Lifeguard, you will be part of a vibrant team with the added benefit of varied working hours that can fit around your other commitments.
Come and join our friendly operations team at John Warner Sports Centre in Hoddesdon and Laura Trott Leisure Centre in Cheshunt. In this role, you will help your community enjoy our facilities safely, to the highest standards of cleanliness and with excellent customer service.
What is required?
- In-date National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
- Resilience, reliability, and conscientiousness
- Enjoyment of working as part of a team
- Excellent customer care skills
- A friendly and effective manner
- Ability to converse confidently with members of the public in fluent English
- Ability to safely manually handle, set up and break down heavy equipment within operational guidelines
- Good organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Willingness to pass regular competency tests on qualifying
- Ability to pass a swim test, which will be conducted at interview stage
