Operations & Projects Officer

About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Operations & Projects Officer to join our Marketing, Recruitment & Communications (MRC) team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in driving operational excellence while supporting a wide range of marketing and student recruitment projects across the University.

You will lead the day-to-day operations of the MRC function, overseeing core administrative areas including compliance, health & safety, reporting, and systems management. Working closely with the Director and senior leadership team, you will help shape and deliver efficient, data-led processes that support our strategic goals.

In addition, you will act as a key business partner to faculties and professional services, translating requirements into clear briefs and coordinating activity across specialist teams to ensure projects are delivered effectively and on time.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication
  • The ability to build effective relationships at all levels
  • Experience of improving processes, managing competing priorities, and working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, ideally within marketing, communications or events

This role would suit someone who enjoys balancing operational leadership with hands-on project delivery, and who is passionate about continuous improvement and service excellence.

If you are motivated, adaptable, and keen to make a real impact within a dynamic team, we would welcome your application.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
