Operations Quality Assessor | Elderly Care Homes
Role: Remote (Home-Based with National Travel)
About the Role
Compass Associates are sourcing an experienced Operations Quality Assessor for an expanding organisation specialising in the elderly care sector. This is a home-based role offering flexible working, national travel, and autonomy to assess quality, governance, and compliance across multiple care homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality monitoring visits across a diverse portfolio of elderly care homes.
- Identify emerging risks, review governance frameworks, and provide audit reports for senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and quality frameworks.
- Analyse safeguarding, incidents, statutory notifications, and regulatory activity.
- Build collaborative relationships with care operators while maintaining objectivity.
- Support informed decision-making with evidence-based professional reporting.
Flexibility & Structure:
- 2 days per week on-site visits.
- 3 days per week for report writing, analysis, and administration.
- Keeping a national workload with a mix of domestic travel and occasional visits to London.

Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with an active NMC PIN.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality, governance, or compliance monitoring (preferably within elderly care).
- Audit/inspection experience in care homes or healthcare settings.
- Excellent report writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Previous experience with CQC inspections or regulatory bodies would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated independence and objectivity.
- Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Experience at a corporate level working within large care provider organisations is beneficial.
- Desirable: Regulatory or provider-side quality experience.
Desirable Location
While suitable candidates nationwide are encouraged, preference for applicants based in the:
- North Midlands
- South of England

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: £55,000 – £68,000 per annum, plus a 15% annual bonus.
- Flexible working and home-based role with national travel support.
