Operations Specialist
Port is building the infrastructure for the future of last-mile delivery. We provide electric bikes for rental, used by couriers across London, powered by our proprietary charging station technology and a growing network of urban hubs.
Our comprehensive mobility package includes charging, parking, maintenance, and dedicated fleet management software—ensuring seamless operations for riders and businesses. We currently operate in London and Manchester and are rapidly expanding across the UK and Europe.

About the role
This field-intensive role combines operational coordination and reporting. You will be in between hubs and our office located in Holborn, ensuring Port’s e-hubs and e-vehicles remain in optimal condition, troubleshooting real-time issues. You’ll play a critical part in launching new hubs across London, collaborating closely with mechanics, and consistently improving rider experiences in existing hubs.
As an Operations Specialist, you will maintain operational excellence of our hubs and fleet, address challenges proactively, manage hub cleanliness and functionality, and foster an engaged rider community.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Management & Data Analytics
- Monitor and analyse fleet performance data, identifying trends and opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Track and manage metrics around hub quality, vehicle availability, incident resolution, and rider satisfaction.
- Proactively manage incidents, ensuring swift resolution and clear reporting.

Hub & Fleet Quality Control (Proactive Field Operations)
- Regularly conduct inspections of Port’s hubs across London to ensure all infrastructure, charging docks, and vehicles are well-maintained.
- Facilities Management: Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and compliance at hubs, including waste management, signage updates, and general upkeep.
New Hub Launches & Expansion
- Coordinate and oversee the launch of new hubs, ensuring complete readiness prior hub launch.
- Collaborate closely with mechanics and installation teams to efficiently set up charging docks, parking areas, signage, etc.
- Quickly identify and resolve any operational challenges at newly launched hubs.
Rider Engagement & Education
- Interact with riders, providing clear guidance on rental rules, vehicle handling, and best practices.
- Collect and analyse rider feedback, translating insights into actionable improvements for the operations team.

- Startup Experienced – You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and are adept at organising and prioritising tasks efficiently.
- Organised & Proactive – You excel in managing tasks independently, taking full ownership of projects and responsibilities.
- Problem Solver – Tech-savvy and analytical, you effectively bridge office operations with on-the-ground realities, quickly resolving technical and logistical challenges.
- Strong Communicator – Confident in clearly engaging and leading riders, mechanics, operations staff, and across all internal/external stakeholders.
- Physically Active – Comfortable with some field work - moving between hubs.
- Energetic & Motivated – Ready to proactively lead a small team, contribute actively, and significantly impact daily operations.
