Operations Supervisor
Salary: £36,250 per annum plus performance bonus, company van & pension
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Location: Northampton, also covering Peterborough

What you'll be doing
- Manage the day-to-day compliance and standards of the operations, including, but not limited to, health, safety, and fleet compliance, working closely with the risk and assurance, fleet, and operational teams.
- Carry out daily site checks in line with Veolia requirements, procedures, and relevant legislation to support the manager's monthly inspection.
- When on-site, carry out driver early morning gate checks to ensure they are completed in line with the current policy.
- Support continual (minimum annual) review of risk assessments (including COSHH), and following any change in legislation, accidents/incidents, or Veolia procedure.
- Work with the driving assessors to ensure all drivers have an annual Driving Assessment and six-monthly eyesight checks in line with Logistics UK audit requirements.
- Deliver manual handling and any ad-hoc training including bi-line/spill response/fall arrest/toolbox talks.
- Support depot teams with any accident/incident investigations, working collaboratively with R&A, to ensure that all investigations are conducted robustly.
- Provide knowledge and support on day-to-day challenges that the business may encounter while maintaining maximum quality, health, and safety requirements.
- Support managers in driving and improving compliance with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Support managers with optimum service delivery to internal and external stakeholders.

- Transport CPC - desirable
- Level 3 Leadership & Management or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience within the waste industry
- Previous fleet management experience
