Operations Supervisor

Job Description

We are recruiting for an Operations Supervisor for a new multi user operation based on Segro Park in Coventry. In this role you will supervise, guide and motivate a team in the day-to-day operations of a warehouse and ensure productivity of its staff. This role will work across a rotational shift pattern of 7am-3.30pm and 12pm-8.30pm Mon-Fri.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day to day operation of essential warehouse activity ensuring health and safety, productivity and KPI's are all achieved
  • Coach and Mentor operatives and Team Leads
  • Ensure all quality, health and safety procedures are adhered to relating to processing and checking
  • Daily completion of management reports etc.
  • Achievement of productivity levels in line with agreed KPI’s
  • Ensure that the team follows correct processes and standards
  • Ensure high standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained
  • Provide help and assistance to other departments as and when required
  • Promote a sound employee relations climate for all employees
  • Communicate appropriately with external and internal customers at all times

What You Will Bring

  • Previous Supervisor experience within a fast paced warehouse operation, ideally within a multi customer environment
  • Strong Team Player with People management skills
  • Experience supervising a team
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Quality systems knowledge - to a reasonable level be able to monitor staff performance and costs within the department (including, but not limited to: time-keeping, quality, productivity, etc.)
