Operations Supervisor
Logistics Team Leader

About the Role
Location: Wellingborough Salary: £35,090.00 per annum Hours: Monday – Friday, 5:45 AM – 2:15 PM Reporting to: Operations Manager
You will lead and manage a team to ensure the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of your department. Your role is critical in maintaining service excellence, governing team dynamics, and meeting the demanding standards of supply chain logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate the team to exceed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Distribute work orders and ensure fair workload distribution across employees
- Steer and implement processes, planning daily business activities with precision
- Serve as the first point of contact for process and technical faults, escalating issues to relevant departments
- Identify problems, implement corrective measures, and ensure assessment of success
- Monitor SLA compliance and assess operational quality
- Work proficiently within the SAP system
- Participate in resource planning (staffing and infrastructure)
- Create and evaluate performance reports to track efficiency
- Ensure adherence to quality and service standards
- Manage people-related activities within the business

Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must demonstrate:
- Experience working with computerised systems
- Understanding of temperature-controlled environments (a plus)
- Reliability, disciplined time management, and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in numerical analysis and record-keeping
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Ability to take ownership of issues and resolve them from start to finish professionally
- A strong customer-focused mindset
