Operations Supervisor
Operations Manager – Fixed Term Contract (6-9 Months)
Location: Wellingborough Salary: £35,090.16 Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.30 AM - 5.00 PM

About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead, oversee, and coordinate your team to ensure seamless, efficient operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining and exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while delivering logistics excellence globally.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead and manage a team to achieve and exceed agreed SLAs and operational targets
- Distribute work orders, ensuring fair and efficient workload distribution

Process & Daily Operations
- Steer, coordinate, and implement processes to optimise workflows
- Plan and execute daily business activities, ensuring timeliness and quality

Troubleshooting & Compliance
- Be the first point of contact for all process and technical faults and escalate issues to relevant departments
- Identify critical issues, drive corrective measures, and monitor success and SLA compliance
- Work within the SAP system for day-to-day logistics processes

Resource & Quality Oversight
- Participate in resource planning (staffing and infrastructure adjustments)
- Create and evaluate detailed reports on performance, trends, and areas for improvement
- Ensure high-quality service levels are maintained and standards adhered to

people Management
- Handle people management tasks, including accountability, support, and coaching
Requirements

Experience in Logistics and Temperature-Controlled Environments
- Prior experience working with computerised logistics systems (SAP is a plus)
- Preferably knowledge of operations within temperature-controlled environments (e.g., cold chain, healthcare supply)

Organisational & Technical Skills
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently, handle workloads well, and orgainse priorities
- Sound written and verbal communication to coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Strong numerical skills and meticulous record-keeping capabilities
- Exacting attention to detail when monitoring processes

- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of issues, following them through with professional problem-solving
- Customer-centric approach, ensuring operational reliability and responsiveness
