Operations Lead/Supervisor
Operations is the heart and soul of everything Amazon does. At this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring seamless workflows, effective team supervision, and operational excellence across shifts.
About the Role As an Operations Lead/Supervisor, you’ll oversee daily operations, support frontline teams, and drive improvements in workflows, safety, quality, and productivity. This hands-on leadership position will give you hands-on experience in shift management, team training, process optimisation, and data analysis—key to maintaining Amazon’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift & Team Oversight: Measures workflows, tracks onsite performance, and provides critical shift information to frontline management to maintain operational excellence.
- Team Support & Training: Trains and supervises employees, ensuring they follow best practices for safety, quality, and productivity.
- Process Improvement: Collaborates with Shift/Area Managers to streamline processes, enhance workplace safety, and boost team engagement.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Works with other teams to diagnose and resolve common operational challenges affecting key performance areas.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Uses metric analysis to identify opportunities for optimising safety, quality, and efficiency.

A Typical Day
- Pre-Shift Meetings: Facilitate team briefings to align on priorities, safety protocols, and daily workflows.
- Monitoring & Escalation: Ensures compliance with procedures; escalates issues or, if needed, guides first-line teams to resolve tasks autonomously.
- Shift Planning: Assists Shift/Area Managers in scheduling staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak demand.
- Manager Support: Step in as the most senior role on shift when necessary, providing direction or coordinating actions.
Basic Qualifications
✔ Advanced command of the local language (written and spoken, C1 CEFR level) ✔ Hands-on experience with data analytics, including identifying operational trends and issues ✔ Proficient in using the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting

Preferred Qualifications
✔ Stakeholder management: Experience building and maintaining strong working relationships ✔ Industry experience in logistics, retail, hospitality, or customer service ✔ Upper-intermediate English proficiency in both written and verbal communication
