Operations Supervisor – Arriva
Are you an experienced operations professional looking for your next challenge in the bus industry? Arriva is looking for a motivated and people-focused Operations Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of our busy transport operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in bus operations, transport management, logistics, fleet operations, or service delivery who are passionate about leading teams and delivering reliable public transport services.
As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring bus services operate safely, efficiently, and on schedule while supporting drivers and operational colleagues across the depot.
The Role
Reporting into the Operations Management team, you will oversee daily operational activities, monitor service performance, and support the smooth running of bus services across the network.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Supervising, motivating, and supporting operational staff and bus drivers
- Managing daily bus service delivery, route coverage, and resource allocation
- Monitoring punctuality, reliability, and operational performance across services
- Supporting driver welfare, performance management, and employee development
- Investigating operational incidents, customer complaints, and service disruptions
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and transport legislation
- Working closely with engineering and depot teams to maintain fleet availability
- Producing operational reports and maintaining accurate records
- Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer service

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an organized and proactive supervisor with strong leadership skills and experience within the transport, bus, logistics, or operational sector.
Successful Candidates Will Have
- Previous experience in an Operations Supervisor, Transport Supervisor, or Duty Manager role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing operational performance and KPIs
- Knowledge of transport operations, scheduling, and resource planning
- Understanding of health and safety and compliance within a transport environment
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and operational systems
- Flexibility to work shifts, evenings, and weekends where required
- A full valid driving license
