Job Description
DP World
DP World are currently recruiting for an Operations Supervisor to join our operation in Coventry. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring your team delivers against quality, productivity, and safety targets while maintaining the highest operational standards.
Reporting to the Operations Manager
You will play a key role in motivating, coaching, and developing team members, whilst ensuring all operational processes are followed effectively and efficiently.
Shift: Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30
How You Will Contribute
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure operational targets are achieved
- Ensure all quality, health, and safety procedures are adhered to across the operation
- Monitor team performance against agreed productivity and service KPIs
- Complete daily management reports and operational documentation accurately and on time
- Ensure employees follow established processes, procedures, and operational standards
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and workplace organisation
- Provide support and assistance to other departments when required
- Promote a positive employee relations environment, encouraging engagement and teamwork
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers to ensure service excellence
- Coach, mentor, and develop warehouse operatives and Team Leaders to maximise performance
- Monitor staff performance, attendance, quality, and productivity, taking appropriate action where required
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Act as a role model for company values, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements and the DP World Code of Conduct

What You Will Bring
- Previous experience supervising teams within a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and operational processes
- Excellent people management, coaching, and leadership skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Experience monitoring productivity, quality, and performance against KPIs
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and results-driven approach with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to motivate teams and drive high levels of engagement and performance
- Team player with a collaborative and customer-focused mindset
- Good level of Maths and English
- Experience supervising or leading teams within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Understanding of quality systems and performance management processes
- Experience monitoring departmental performance, including productivity, quality, and attendance
