Operations Supervisor Required - Weston-super-Mare - Full Time

Salary: From £36,000

Hours: Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern (6:00am-2:00pm / 1:00pm-9:00pm)

Our client is a well-established passenger transport operator, providing safe, reliable and professional transport services across the South West.

On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an Operations Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of transport operations. This is a varied, hands-on position where you'll play a key role in ensuring services run safely and efficiently while supporting drivers, coordinating operational activity and responding to the demands of a busy transport environment.

Operations Supervisor - Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operation of transport services, ensuring services are delivered safely and efficiently
  • Coordinate drivers, vehicle movements and operational resources to maintain service continuity
  • Monitor live operational issues including delays, road disruptions, breakdowns and vehicle changeovers, responding promptly to minimise disruption
  • Maintain accurate operational records, including driver hours, attendance, mileage and compliance documentation
  • Investigate incidents, prepare reports and escalate operational or safety concerns where required
  • Liaise with drivers, customers, contractors and internal teams, providing operational and administrative support as needed
  • Supervise the cleaning team and maintain day-to-day operational standards
  • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota to provide operational support when required

Operations Supervisor - Requirements

  • Previous experience within transport operations or a fast-paced operational environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Full UK Category B driving licence
