Operations Support Coordinator – Haulage Team
📍 Location: Tamworth | Deadline: 10 July 2026
About the Role
Greenergy, a leading UK fuel supplier and European manufacturer of waste-based renewables, operates a 24/7 in-house haulage team with 650+ drivers and 250+ tankers across 20 depots nationwide. Managing 500+ daily deliveries and supporting 3,100 customers annually, we’re seeking a motivated Operations Support Coordinator to join our Tamworth team.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual – whether you’re building on administrative/customer service experience or looking to develop a career in logistics/operations. You’ll thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where organisation, problem-solving, and multitasking are key, backed by full on-the-job training.
You’ll work a 4-on/4-off shift pattern (6am–6pm), coordinating daily fleet operations by ensuring:
- Shift planning is accurate and fleet activities are coordinated
- Driver, vehicle & maintenance records are up-to-date
- Operational risks are identified and escalated before they disrupt workflow
- Faultless handover occurs between teams/shifts
Beyond core duties, you’ll occasionally cover for colleagues during leave, sickness, or peak demand, expanding your operational support expertise with flexible training.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Operations Coordination
- Support day-to-day fleet planning to ensure shift preparations are error-free
- Maintain real-time accuracy in driver, vehicle, and maintenance systems
- Coordinate scheduled vehicle maintenance with workshops to minimise downtime

Compliance & Risk Management
- Verify operational plans for compliance, resolving inconsistencies preemptively
- Monitor fleet availability and escalate resource/compliance risks to relevant teams
- Keep detailed records to support compliance audits and safety protocols
Customer & Team Support
- Act as the central point of contact for the Fleet Inbox, ensuring queries are escalated/resolved promptly
- Collaborate with colleagues across operations, maintenance, and customer service to drive efficiency
Ad hoc Shift Coverage
- Provide temporary support for Fleet & Operations Support during absences or operational spikes
- Develop expertise across multiple processes with flexible, training-integrated transitions
Required Skills & Experience
