Operations Support Executive

Operations Support Executive – Procurement & Logistics

About the Role

The international operations company, based in Ross-on-Wye with global reach, seeks a capable, diligent and motivated Operations Support Executive to support procurement and shipping of specialist equipment for worldwide projects.

Full training will be provided.

This role is:

  • Highly project-focused, requiring collaboration from pre-bid/bid phases through to initialisation, delivery, and demobilisation.
  • Cost-driven, with a focus on efficiency and cost-effective solutions.
  • Stakeholder-facing, including handling incoming project correspondence, tracking equipment levels, and monitoring field reports.

The successful candidate will:

  • Enhance the company’s existing professional, profit-focused culture while making a valuable societal impact on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Logistics & Shipping Coordination
    • Plan and manage the export of goods to international project sites.
    • Prepare and process shipping documentation.

  • Procurement &Supplier Management

    • Source and procure specialist equipment for global project requirements.
    • Research new suppliers and forged relationships as needed.
    • Maintain a supplier database and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Project & Inventory Oversight

    • Serve as the primary contact for incoming project correspondence.
    • Monitor progress of assigned projects, including:
      • Equipment levels
      • Field reports
      • Requisition status updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Order Tracking & Compliance

    • Ensure receipt, logging, and tracking of all equipment orders.
    • Proactively follow up with suppliers to:
      • Confirm on-time delivery of purchase orders.
      • Align shipments with project timelines and budgets.
      • Verify all documentation and authorisations.

Requirements

  • Strong preference for candidates with previous experience in:

    • International shipping/freight
    • Procurement
    • Logistics
  • Exceptional organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency in researching and negotiations to secure cost-effective solutions.

  • Project awareness to meet deadlines and milestones.
