Operations Support Governance Manager
Location: Redditch or Essex | Hybrid Working Available
Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and commercially astute Operations Support Governance Manager to join our Operations Support & Governance (OSG) team. This is a high-impact role focused on protecting margin, strengthening commercial governance, and improving operational decision-making through insight-led reporting. You’ll act as a key interface between Operations, Finance, Supply Chain and MI, ensuring commercial activity is profitable, compliant, and controlled.
You’ll also lead a small team, driving analytical capability, standardising processes, and enhancing data integrity across the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain centralised reporting frameworks to monitor performance across OSG and wider teams
- Drive data integrity and governance, improving the accuracy of profitability, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Deliver insightful reporting to senior stakeholders, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities to protect margin
- Monitor and manage financial & commercial KPIs, ensuring audit readiness and transparency
- Lead compliance checks across workflows including quoting, charge checks, billing, and cost assurance
- Embed and enhance Charge Check processes across contracts
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce leakage, inefficiencies, and unnecessary spend
- Oversee transactional spend activity, ensuring correct approvals and governance protocols
- Drive revenue recovery initiatives, identifying and recovering missed income opportunities
- Support mobilisation projects and transformation programmes (e.g. Aurora), embedding robust governance from the outset
- Build strong relationships across Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and MI to drive continuous improvement
- Lead and develop a team, enhancing analytical capability and commercial awareness

About You
We’re looking for a confident and driven individual who brings:
- Proven experience in commercial analysis and governance
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interrogate data using Excel
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with process mapping tools (e.g. Visio)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A relevant degree or professional qualification is advantageous.
