How you’ll power our business as an Operations Support Manager

As an Operations Support Manager, reporting into the General Manager, you will work to ensure the region complies with legislative and business standards and controls. Supporting the GM through driving performance and operational excellence whilst delivering the highest standards of customer service. You will achieve this purpose by acting as a key support to the GM, monitoring performance and gaining assurance from teams adhere to company procedures and guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, collating, analysing and producing key reports, ensuring compliance with business controls (cash, debt management, stock management), transport/driving standards & O Licence undertakings, Health & Safety reporting & investigations, recruitment, training and adherence with HR related policies. Here at Flogas, we may have a fossil fuels background, but we’re working towards delivering 100% renewable energy to our customers by 2040. We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We’re also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio-fuels and renewable gases. Here’s what you’ll be doing

  • Regional lead for the development and support of critical business operating systems (CODAS, Maximo, Drivecam, Cority, etc.)
  • Create, develop and maintain reports to support compliance and the measurement of performance as required - safety, utilisation, vehicles, cylinders, other assets
  • Assigning and coordinating the dispersion of key assets and overseeing the optimal use of such assets and associated controls (i.e. cylinder stocks to OSL, pre-filling plans, Camping Gaz)
  • Reconciliation and control of regional stocks, materials and assets
  • Monitoring resource levels to support service and efficiencies
  • Lead for customer service issues, investigations, and the conduit for complaint resolution

What we’ll need from you

  • Systems knowledge
  • Operational and commercial experience
  • Experience of people management and employment legislation
  • Possess a rounded understanding of Health & Safety policies and practice
  • Positive demeanour with a problem-solving mindset
  • Motivational person with an appetite to prioritise customer needs and expectations
  • A good understanding of employment law and people management
  • Conversant with company policies, practices and procedures
  • Experienced in selection programmes, recruitment, motivation, training and effective appraisal of personnel
  • Demonstrable knowledge of costs, margins, volumes and budgets
  • Effective communication skills, able to influence at all levels across the business
  • Computer literate, competent with MS (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and business operating systems
  • Flexible to be able to adapt with business demand, including working away from home
