Job Overview
Mitie has a great opportunity for a Security Operations Support Manager to join our Northern Ireland Security Operations team.
The Security Operations Support Manager will work on a 4 on 4 off 12hr primarily dayshift pattern with another ops support manager and together they will assist the operations manager in servicing a large client and front line staff portfolio.
This position is ideally suited to someone already working within the security industry at Supervisor level and above. All candidates must have a full clean driving licence and be fully flexible for working shift patterns as these change to the needs of the portfolio.
Laptop and phone will be supplied along with use of Mitie vehicle when on duty. For travel purposes, the position will be based out of Mitie office Heron Road, Belfast.
The position will support with duty manager.
Main Duties
The principal objectives of the Operations Support Manager can be summarised as being:
- Support in managing the local Security portfolio security team, ensuring that all contracted and temporary hours are fulfilled to the complete satisfaction of the customer.
- Ensure all shifts are covered and all Security Officers on shift are fully aware of the customer's requirements.
- Support The Operations Manager To
- Actively drive for service excellence, sustainability, social values and efficiency initiatives at local level.
- Co-ordinate the local delivery of the security operations.
- Carry out pre-audits for monthly KPI meetings for all security operations.
- Assist Mitie Account and operational management as required.
- Ensure a well trained and effective security team is in place and carrying out all duties as per Assignment Instructions across the portfolio.
- Undertake daily supervision of the assignment under your control and those premises that you are given responsibility for.
- Ensure all regular Security Staff and relief staff have received the correct training for the contracts worked on, including any inductions.
- Ensure that site training records are maintained.
- Ensure the performance of the Security Staff is constantly reviewed and monitored so that any weaknesses or training needs are identified and the necessary action taken.
- Liasise with Operations Manager as soon as you are made aware of an unplanned absence.
- Control and maintain holiday planners.

- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Resilient and tenacious with a ‘can do' approach.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Literate, numerate and IT skills to medium level user.
- Frontline Door Supervision or Security Guarding License essential, CCTV Licence would be beneficial.
- A Full UK Driving licence is required.
- Will be required to achieve SC clearances for most of the portfolio contracts.
