Operations Systems Lead

Role Overview

Career Step Level: Step Level 3 Location: Blyth, Worksop (UK) and Poland (remote oversight) Type: Full-time, onsite Career Step: 3

About the Role

You’ll be the operational heartbeat of our Operational Systems, acting as the ultimate owner for Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Order Fulfilment systems across our UK sites (Rudie’s Kitchen & Ace’s Pantry) and Poland (Sam’s Kitchen). This role holds significant responsibility, reporting to the Demand Manager while collaborating across finance, warehouse, fulfilment, and production teams.

You’ll be tasked with ensuring SAP data integrity—aligning the digital systems with every physical movement in our operations. Your focus will lie in tackling real-time SAP issues, while also driving long-term system optimisation to enhance efficiency as we scale, ensuring a 1:1 match between digital data and physical reality.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Ownership & Compliance

āœ… Innovative SAP System Lead – Champion consistent and accurate use of SAP as a strategic tool, not just a database. āœ… Financial & Service Impact Ownership – Treat missing transactions as critical, recognising their impact on profit margins and service delivery. āœ… Master Data Governance – Centralise control over SKU information, BOM (Bill of Materials), and location data for streamlined operational efficiency.

Data Integrity & Reporting

šŸ“Š Inventory & Transaction Compliance –

  • Lead quarterly audits of warehouse, production, and fulfilment transactions in UK and Poland sites.
  • Deliver operational audits, tracking compliance at team, site, and group levels to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Translate compliance metrics into financial impact, driving stakeholder awareness and investment in best practices.

šŸ” Performance Improvement –

  • Identify root causes of low compliance trends, and recommend and push through data-driven improvements.
  • Jointly design and deliver targeted training programs either as refresher sessions, newcomer inductions, or compliance-specific interventions through cross-functional collaboration.

Systems Optimisation & Automation

šŸ¤– Enhancing Digital Efficiency –

  • Continuously evaluate system processes to reduce friction and minimise manual effort.
  • Analyze existing workflows—shake up outdated practices with modern and AI-integrated solutions while establishing human-in-the-loop oversight for accuracy and quality.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
